Mechanical failure spoils victory for Chris Ferguson at Wythe Raceway

Joining the tour for one night only, Chris Ferguson checked in with the Schaeffer's Oil Spring National Series at Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Va.) on Friday.

Finishing second in his heat race, Ferguson started fourth in the $10,053-to-win feature and soared to the lead on lap 2. Chris led 18 laps before he surrended the lead to Hudson O'Neal when he lost an engine component. Chris was credited with a 15th-place finish.
