Ferguson races into Jackson 100 at Brownstown; Fourth-place finish in Coles County Invitational
Checking in for both the C.J. Rayburn Memorial on Friday night and the Jackson 100 on Saturday evening, Chris Ferguson joined a field of 48 Super Late Models at Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
Ferguson charged from fifth-to-third in his heat race during night one and wound up 23rd in the final running order after starting 11th in the $10,000 opener. Chris grabbed the final transfer spot in his heat on Saturday night and ran 20th in the 100-lap, $50,000-to-win finale.
Ferguson then made his way to Coles County Speedway (Mattoon, Ill.) for the invite-only Road to the Dome event. Chris picked up a heat race win and started sixth in the feature event after the dash. Ferguson made up two spots over the 40-lapper and wound up just off the podium in fourth.
