Eighth-place finish in North/South 100 preliminary with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
Making the trip to the Bluegrass state for the crown jewel, Chris Ferguson was one of 51 Super Late Models checked in with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Florence Speedway (Walton, Ky.) for the 43rd-annual Sunoco North/South 100.
On opening night, Ferguson scored his best run by finishing third in his heat race and landing a Top-10 in the $6,000 preliminary feature. Chris finished 12th in his prelim the following night, but hit the invert right which put him on the pole of a Saturday heat race.
Ferguson won his heat to start on the second-row of the 100-lap finale where he would fade back late to finish 15th with $75,000 on the line.
