Pair of runner-up finishes with Southern Nationals at Beckley and Wythe
Joining the mini-tour for their opening weekend, Chris Ferguson kicked off the 2025 Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series season at Beckley Motor Speedway (Mount Hope, W.Va.) on Friday afternoon.
Finishing runner-up in a heat race, Ferguson started fifth in the $10,053-to-win season opener and raced to a runner-up finish behind Ross Bailes.
On Saturday, Ferguson dodged rain showers all evening and earned a fifth-row starting spot in the 53-lap main event. Chris stormed through the field and wound up one spot short once again. He finished behind Chris Madden while Garrett Smith completed the podium.
