Runner-up finish in Stick Elliott Memorial at Gaffney

Saturday night saw Chris Ferguson make a last-minute decision to attend the Stick Elliott Memorial at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.). Drawing 25 Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series entries, Ferguson posted the second fastest lap overall in time trials behind Michael Brown, which positioned him second on the starting grid for the $4,000-to-win A-Main. After fading back to sixth on the opening lap, Chris clawed his way back up to a second place finish behind Ross Bailes with Michael Brown, Dennis Franklin, and Anthony Sanders completing the Top-5 finishers.
