Fergy records fourth-place finish in Mike Duvall Memorial at Gaffney

Chris Ferguson made the short trip to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Friday afternoon for the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series-sanctioned Mike Duvall Memorial. With 29 Late Models entered, Ferguson’s second-place finish in his heat race promoted him into the redraw. Rolling off fifth for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Chris jumped up one spot in the 40-lapper to place fourth. On Saturday, Chris joined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at Pittsburgh Pa. Motor Speedway (Imperial, Pa.) for the 32nd annual Pittsburgher 100. Drawing 34 cars, Ferguson posted a third-place finish in his heat, which positioned him 11th on the starting grid for the main event. With $20,000 on the line, Chris carried a steady pace throughout the 100-lapper to finish 11th.
