Hard-charging Ferguson takes fourth at Smoky Mountain Speedway

Chris Ferguson followed the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) over the weekend to compete in Saturday night’s King of the Mountain.

Against a field of 43 Late Models, Ferguson grabbed the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat, which pinned him on the seventh row for the main event. Gunning for the $15,000 top prize, Chris marched through the field nine positions in the 50-lap affair to score a fourth-place finish. He followed Ryan Gustin, Dale McDowell, and Brandon Overton across the line with Donald McIntosh coming in fifth.

Chris is currently 14 markers behind Brandon Overton for the lead in the latest Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series point standings.
